Today and Western
Civilization after taking attendance and we finished watching the video and continued
to Revolution 8 where Octavius’ supporters break the wax head of Tiberius’ father
and then kill Tiberius Gracchus and most of his supporters by beating him with
broken chairs and furniture from his house. They then threw his body in the Tiber
River. Then, his brother Graius tried to take over and was killed for the same
reason his brother was. His body was also thrown into the Tiber River. After
all of this came Julius César taking over then forming a triumvirate (group of
three) with Pompey (powerful warrior with troops and good fighting skills) and
Craccus (richest man in the world). Pompey was killed, JC came to full power
and then the Senate killed him. After that, Octavius (JC’s great nephew)
started a new triumvirate with Mark Antony (JC’s friend) and Leviticus. Mark
Antony and Octavius fought each other, joined forces and killed everyone
involved with JC’s murder, and then fought each other some more. Mark Antony
met Cleopatra and they dated. They all battled some more and Octavius won and
changed his name to “Augustus”. He then became the most powerful man in the
world! That’s where we stopped. I actually get really interested in this and
took like 93294543 pages of notes. I think I’m going to do really well on the
test! J
